Counterfeit Cashier’s Checks
Counterfeit "Cashier’s Checks" supposedly issued by Miners Exchange Bank are being circulated by "scammers" attempting to defraud unsuspecting individuals. Most of the checks have been mailed with a letter stating that the recipient has been selected as a "secret shopper" or has a "mystery shopping assignment". The letter requests that you purchase gift cards or wire transfer funds and keep a portion of the money. If you receive a "Cashier’s Check" issued by Miners Exchange Bank, DO NOT DEPOSIT, ATTEMPT TO CASH, OR WIRE TRANSFER FUNDS UNTIL YOU HAVE VERIFIED IT’S AUTHENTICITY.
